I changed to a vegan/plant-based diet 12 years ago due to stomach issues.
I have never regretted it, in fact, I should have been on vegan/plant-based diet all my life.
With all that said, I was told now at the age of 62, I am diabetic with high cholesterol. And now I must change my diet again to a sugar free, low carbohydrate diet. I still have a vegan/plant-based diet but cutting out sugar and eating fiber rich diet to lower my cholesterol. Also, exercise is very important, which I will be doing every day.
